South Beach Hotel - Troon

Lovely base for 1 night with efficient and competent staff who had obviously finished their shift. Having iron/ironing board, a work desk and a TV set in our recently refurbished and airy room. Plenty of satisfactory breakfast items to choose from.

The highlight was the delicious food. This hotel was set in a central area not far from the beach, Royal Troon for golf, and the restaurant at 8.

The units are huge, extremely pleasant.

The room was spacious and super clean with modern decor. The restaurant staff were fantastic, always friendly and inviting. We enjoyed excellent food in the bright conservatory, especially as the sun set. The lovely gardens in the rear were a great touch too!

Try to enjoy the fresh haggis at breakfast. it truly elevates the full Scottish experience and is often overlooked.

The sea view room was spacious and well-appointed, with a clean bathroom and an extensive tea tray. The breakfast was particularly noteworthy. Some furniture showed wear, and service attention at times was limited due to events like a family birthday party, leading to minor delays in bar service. Despite these issues, the overall atmosphere was warm and cute were great.

Nice hotel with its free wi-fi, helpful staff, and bar/lounge area. During my first visit, the team provided great info about the town. I highly recommend trying their in-room breakfast! I'm coming back for a holiday.

The décor was charming, and the accessible ramp. The staff's attentiveness was nice, like being at a family gathering-but without the awkward questions about when I would settle down.

The hotel boasts a charming atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious food, particularly the Scottish breakfast. The shower pressure was disappointingly low, and the decor felt a bit dated. Despite these issues, the comfortable room and lovely sea view made it a pleasant experience overall.

The staff were super friendly n. Our room was large n comfy, with a nice view of the garden. Dinner n breakfast were both good, with plenty of choices including veg and vegan options. Loved the bar service too, loads of drinks to choose from. Great location close to the beach and the town where we went to a gig.

The bathroom extractor fan was disturbingly noisy, especially with the wind. Loose tiles on the bathroom floor secured by sticky tape felt unsafe and unprofessional. The double glazing unit was fogged up, indicating it needed replacement. I struggled to enjoy the stay with these issues compounding the discomfort.

The South Beach hotel provided an really good experience during my business trip. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured thoughtful touches, like specific lighting that enhanced comfort. The restaurant served excellent meals. Both dinner and breakfast included a diverse selection, with the freshly cooked items delivered promptly. The staff was attentive.

I had a fantastic three-night stay! The huge bedroom had a fine sea view, and the breakfast was amazing, especially the smash burgers for dinner. The cleanliness was great.
